Print-to-disk format used by Adobe Acrobat. Sometimes used for EBook publishing. Just horrible, pls use epub.

• latest method: copy to gdrive; Open With gdocs (it even does the OCR!); massage; Download as Epub! It doesn't work well with books, you end up with a gdoc of <100 pages
• I've used CleverPDF's free online service to convert PDFs to epub.
  • and then open in calibre, Edit the epub, copy/paste the text over to BBEdit where I can use regex to strip out weird things like footers, and create headers, then paste back into Calibre. Big improvement
